Something happened: Windows 10 installation has failed

    I keep having to give permanent permission to some of my folders, not to mention, some say "Read Only" when I open their properties, but I can read, write and delete stuff from them... lol

    So, I get the same "Something happened Installation Failed" message. I also hacked the registry several years ago when I built this PC, moving all my User Profiles and Documents off my (small) SSD and onto a HDD.

    I am not sure how to move them back. CRex, how did you do this?

About 24 percent into the Windows 10 upgrade installation from Windows 8.1, using the Windows Media Creation Tool, I get the error "Windows 10 installation has failed" error. I searched around, and found a similar post. The popup looks the same....
