Than it didn't install like it should. Look at C:/Program files/AMD/CNext/CNext and file cnext.exe. Starting it should start new panel.

What subfolders should be in C:\AMD after Radeon Crimson install ?

I manually downloaded and installed the Radeon Crimson for the R7 200 series
Checking the folders I see two separate subfolders. The first has dates of Aug. 2015.
Radeon Crimson has dates of Nov 28/15
Are both of these supposed to be there?

Every time you start installation it unzips it to folder AMD in root folder of C: and from there it continues installation. Radeon drivers did same thing. I have 5 different folders there. You can start driver installation from there too. Once a driver is installed you can delete folders and files in it, actually even whole AMD folder.
WinZip, 7zip and other archive programs can open initial file you downloaded, it's just self extracting Zip file.
Those other two you have are for Catalyst drivers, Crimson has different folder "Radeon-Crimson-15.11-Win10-64Bit" is mine.

I would use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) for the change to Crimson drivers. Just to be sure there are no leftovers of previous non-Crimson drivers.

Latest version supports Crimson driver. Get DDU HERE.
