Well i've still got the same problem of the pc freezing regularly and wondering what I try now.
Incidentally speccy tells me the timings are all the same.
Thanks

The Main timings like 9-9-9-24 for eg are likely the same but the subtimings may not be, have you Run Memtest86 for memory Errors?
version 7 FREE is here : MemTest86 - Download now!
Hmmm - the plot thickens... I can't run MemTest86 from a usb or cd so I tried the windows memory checker and that won't run either.
Had a pan round google and can't find another alternative. Any thoughts ?
thanks
Barry
I used the installer that downloaded with memtest86 and it completed ok. When I restarted the pc it didn't boot from the usb even though I set the usb as first boot device. I also tried pressing escape and chosing the boot device as it turned on. Very odd because I sometimes use linux on a usb stick and that boots fine... Equally when I use windows memery checker it should run as the pc boots up and then give a report but it doesn't. I get no error messages from either...
Confused !
So USB Key is bootable ? some are not in my own experience
Some Bios's if in fastboot/secureboot mode don't allow USB drives to be bootable for security reasons
I have not tried the new V7 of Memtest86 , but if the USB Key is seen as UEFI Memtest runs in V7 which is faster/ quicker and can test more extensively , if in Legacy Mode (MBR) ver. 4 of Memtest should run.
USB is bootable i've used it before..... I'll give that a try thanks
I'm running off a GeForce 210 (From Inno3D) using a driver downloaded by Windows Update. Driver version is 341.92.
So some strange happenings.... Despite power cycles and restarts yesterday I couldn't get any memtest to work or the windows utility. When I turned the pc on this morning the windows memory test ran. Even stranger when I then tried memtest V4 it worked no problem. Both come back with no issues.
Then when I tried to restart the pc it would not fire up at all and I've only just got it to fire jp and work correctly.
So I'm back to where I started. It still freezes regularly....
Help !!!!
Have you tried the Card in a different PCIE Slot ? are there any settings inthe Bios fo PCIE like speed .gen1 or gen2 etc?
