@Kbird - I use a 21.5" Phillips 223V5 something screen. I have checked on their site if there's any specific drivers for Windows 10 but there were none. I will try install the Windows 7/8 ones and see if it works. @BorisTheAnimal - I have a GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P motherboard if I remember correctly and no, I have not checked for any specific drivers for Windows 10 on the manufacturer's site but will do and I will come back with a reply.

the Win7&8 drivers are the same ( just looked) , it is really just a text file that adds the max res. for your phillips monitor so windows knows it can use it. the "driver I have for my NEC monitor from Win7 works fine in Win10 BTW.

    from the inf file:

    [223V5.AddReg]
    HKR,"MODES\1920,1080",Mode1,,"30.0-83.0,56.0-76.0,+,+"
    HKR,,MaxResolution,,"1920,1080"
    HKR,,DPMS,,1
    HKR,,ICMProfile,0,"223V5.icm"

not sure if you will need a Reboot or not to see the higher res. offered.

Could you send me the link where I can find the driver via PM? You seem to have found the exact driver while I only find for 223v5lsb etc.

    EDIT:
    [223V5.AddReg]
    HKR,"MODES\1920,1080",Mode1,,"30.0-83.0,56.0-76.0,+,+"
    HKR,,MaxResolution,,"1920,1080"
    HKR,,DPMS,,1
    HKR,,ICMProfile,0,"223V5.icm"

do I have to put that certain file in somewhere?

I just searched the model # you posted above and this is the 1st one on the google list , only you can tell if it is the exact model though....

Visit the support page for your Philips LCD monitor with SmartControl Lite 223V5LSB2/10

    scroll down...........

if you download the readme , next to the win7 file it tell you how to install it. but basically just follow what you did above to find its a pnp monitor as i said ,then click properties and you will see a new dialog box with a driver tab , click it and then update driver , search my computer , and then show it where you extracted the phillips zip file.

Thing is that Philips has made some identical looking monitors which are apparently called pretty much the same 223v5 but with a different suffix and that's why I thought that you may have found the exact one but I've done it either way. Took me a couple of minutes to figure it out but I did it. I also have to choose from "Generic Non-PnP" and "Generic PnP". I believe it would've worked on the latter as well? But I don't know for sure. Either way, I've solved this problem but now if I have the icons and text at 100% it looks kinda blurry. I've tried with ClearType Text but it doesn't seem to change much so I've upped it to 125% where it seems to be a little bit better but maybe that's just me and I'm tired and that's why I can't see clearly. Anyways, solved 1 problem. 99 more to go. :) Thanks for helping me.

My NEC monitors are 23 inch and I use 125% at 1920 too ....bad eyes here though and I don't like sitting 2-3 feet from my Monitor.

I think I saw other threads mention "Blurry in win10 " though I haven't followed up on them as I haven't had that issue myself.

Making sure you are using 60hz may help , higher if possible .

I do use 60hz. I don't know, perhaps I'm just tired, it sometimes happens to see blurry when I am really tired. Also, since I am here. I also have some problems with my mouse. Where should I post a thread? In the General Problems or Drivers and Hardware?

I do not see any category for peripherals.

Well, it randomly disconnects and reconnects.. I bought a new mouse but the problem persists. I thought it may be the Windows so I've reinstalled it but it still does that. I've checked to see if the USB ports are alright and they seem to be as any other device I plug in (from stick to keyboard to headset) work perfectly. Everything but the mice apparently. I'm not quite sure what else I could do.

P.S: I may have to add that the LED of the mouse doesn't turn off but only the sensor (same for my previous mouse) so that's why I believe that it may not be a hardware problem.
P.S2: some texts on some websites started quivering now, lol Windows 10.

Sounds like you need to update drivers for all your hardware for Windows 10 ?

wireless mouse? bluetooth? I would update all the drivers you can and see how you get on....
