Dual screen issue, 2nd screen turns black ...

    any other ideas? the problem is still not fixed and it doesnt seem to be the backlight.

    Replace the monitor. I can't say for 100% sure, but it sounds like a failing monitor to me.

    I'm having the exact same problem, read elsewhere to turn the brightness down on the monitor. Am trying that now.

    Found a possible solution

    OK I noticed one of my monitors would randomly just flash green then go black and you can see the leds glowing still.
    What I started doing is changing the display turning off the black monitor then revert instead of accept.
    then of course ya have to change your display back to what it was.
    Alot better than having to restart.
    I am using win 7 64bit with 2 Asus 27" monitors.
    My video card is a Radeon HD5770
    Hope this helps, mine recently started doing
