Look at this. An Nvidia GTX 1080 EXCLUSIVE driver 368.25. Sometimes happens with the launch of a new product.

Don't think it works with a non 1080 and I wouldn't suggest trying it with non Pascal.

Saw that over on Guru3D. There's a modified .inf file that allows it to install on Maxwell cards. That said, it seems to be almost exactly the same as 368.22.

That's interesting. I bet it's the new drivers. I've actually had my 980Ti rev up a couple of times while just browsing the internet after installing the latest drivers.

368.39 driver now available. Probably the first combined driver that supports old cards and the new 10xx series.

Nvidia 368.39 WHQL driver released (links below). Supposedly fixes the 1080 FE fan issue. It's a unified driver (all cards).

Has anyone noticed that with about the last six releases of Nvidia drivers that after uninstalling the previous driver the desktop icons shift back to their default positions.
It's not really a problem, just a minor annoyance but it still bugs me.

When I use DDU and do a clean install that happens. I only have a few icons so it's no big deal.

Thanks, I've been using DDU as well so guess that's probably what's causing it.
I'll probably email Wagnard to hear what his view on it is.

As you say it's not a big deal, just a small annoyance.
