Some people, like myself, like to test out new things. I've actually seen some in-game framerate and stuttering improvements with this over the last WHQL driver.

For those with Kaspersky Internet Security trying to install 355.98, watch for "Page Fault in Non Paged Area KLPD.sys" error and blue screen restart. It will happen when extracting the driver files.

Sounds pretty serious, right? I was doing sfc, windows mem test, changing page file settings with everything fine but couldn't install this driver. After a half dozen BSOD reboots I found the below link.

Kaspersky doesn't seem to like the extracted files. Simply disabling Kaspersky didn't work for me. YMMV, but for me disable Kaspersky, restart, extract the Nvidia driver with the latest 7 Zip extractor and launching setup worked and then I enabled Kaspersky again. No clue yet if this driver is worth the install effort. Man, that message makes you think Win 10 is having a big problem with hardware (RAM) page files or something. It's Kaspersky, in this case.

Thanks for the info specialkone I just tried updating my laptop twice (second time after a fresh restart) and promptly received the "Page Fault in Non Paged Area KLPD.sys" error each time. This info saved me loads of time as I would have never guessed it was due to Kaspersky.

    EDIT:

After trying the above suggestion that is also contained in the Kaspesky Forum thread above I was still getting the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA KLPD.SYS error after pausing protection, downloading the installer from NVIDIA website and attempting to extract with 7 ZIP as suggested.

My solution was to extract the NVIDIA installer with 7 Zip while booted into "Safe Mode" , After a now successful extraction with 7 ZIP I booted back into "Normal Mode" and ran "Setup.exe" successfully from the extracted folder.

Scaling is still broken and TDR waking from sleep still there. Apparently Nvidia can't , or don't want to fix broken basic functionality
