    resolution

Just loaded win10 on a new hdd--checked resolution and shows the highest at 1820x1080. How do I get to 1920x1080--the resolution on my LG HD monitor?

Where I would start - right click the start icon, select device manager. Look under display adapters, right click on your display adapter and try to automatically upgrade the driver (search online).

    1. Ensure you are not using the MS basic Display Adapter.

if so, then you need to load your Specific GPU drivers.

    2. If using latest specific GPU drivers, you may have to go to an older version to get the resolution support.

I tried to install drivers using the Nvidia disk but it was rejected (???). Downloaded SlimDrivers and it found drivers needed. All is well and I thank you deeply.
