Any Hope for a PC with NVDIA GeForce 6150SE, nforce 430

A friend has an E Machines with the NVDIA GeForce 6150SE, nforce 430 video (chip on motherboard). It is listed as not compatible by the "GWX". Any prospects for him to upgrade with this video chip? He's in another city so I can't get to the "innards" of the PC to see if there is a slot for a video card.

There's hope. In principle, 10 should support WDDM 1.0 (Vista) drivers or newer.

    Specific example:

(includes a link to the 307.74 drivers).

The trick is to not use the GWX utility, but rather upgrade using the Media Creation Tool or a downloaded ISO.

Thanks. I'll pass it on and see what happens.

I upgraded an 8.1 PC last week for a client and had to use the Media Creation Tool.

I downloaded the Win-10 ISO, made a DVD and got the 309.08 driver from DAVIDA. First installed the new drivers and then did the ISO upgrade from the DVD. Some tweaks to my display and other minor stuff and Windows 10 works very well in my old eMachines desktop and also Dell laptop.
