Problem with Crimson and radeon HD5970 on win 10 64 bits

    Hello,
I had a Radeon HD 5970 working no problem win 10 64 bits (latest crimson driver) until a recent windows update.
Now I get the error 43 and the drivers are not working - impossible to re-install.
Is there a work around and is there anybody who experience similar problems?
    Thanks

whats impossible to reinstall? GPU drivers? Have you tried rolling back your GPU driver? Or uninstalling the windows update? (Open Settings and goto to Update & security , Windows Update , Advanced options , View your update history)

    Hello,
I tried to roll back recent windows updates but still could not install the AMD driver (tried the catalyst 15.7.1 and the Crimson Edition 16.1.1 Beta).
However, I managed to get the 2560X1440 resolution and in the device manager, under display adapter I get two elements: AMD Radeon HD 5000 series but only one is working (yellow warning on the other one with device not working in property. (The card is a dual GPU). Catalyst is not running - error message saying the driver is not working.

Is it possible that one of the GPU is dead? Is there a way to test for hardware issues? I would like to be certain before I look for replacement.

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Dear all,
I could not get this driver to work at all.
The only solution was to go back to windows 7 - this works now perfectly.
