Win 10 not seeing multiple monitors

The OS does not see my second monitor in device manager. Is there a fix?

I had the same problem until I installed AMD drivers. Only then did I get to use both screens.

I tried that several times. I get a message "There was a problem installing updates, but we'll try again later". Now what?

Don't use MS drivers, download and install appropriate drivers from AMD.

Is your 2nd monitor connected to a PC (with graphics card? what graphics card?).
I have a 2nd monitor running attached to my laptop via the d-sub output and that worked flawlessly (Extended and Duplicate).

Thanks for the reply. I have the AMD Raedon 7560. I have tried it both ways. Downloaded the AMD detection tool. Downloaded the correct AMD driver. Device manager shows error 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). Neither method, MS or AMD drivers work. Waiting for a solution but it appears MS may not get to this one anytime soon.

What about trying to install it in compatibility mode?

Right click the .exe and select properties, then select the Compatibility tab and tick the option to run in compatibility mode and choose windows 8.

    Does this help at all?

Mine is an older AMD Radeon 5450 and the driver was automatically updated during the first update after installing 9926.

Both the on-board and the add-on graphics card are running at the same time so I have 4 monitors running.

You can also try to completely uninstall and cleanup drivers with: Download Display Driver Uninstaller - MajorGeeks in safe mode and then reinstall AMD drivers.
Just one more thing, your monitors would not be both with VGA inputs, would they ? Those GPUs can't handle two VGA outputs at same time.

Main monitor is DVI, #2 is VGA. Jamie, how do I get to that compatibility mode form?
