Nobody still uses gfx cards for mining, I've got a dedicated 60 GH/s ASIC rig which is light years ahead of GFX mining and that isn't even worth firing up.

Is there any problem with having the same amount of ram on your video card as there is system ram?

No correlation at all. More, the merrier in either case.

    Mostly true.

However, for their ridiculous Titan X graphics card (12GB of VRAM, with a single GPU), nVidia originally recommended system RAM of 24GB or more.

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...-requirements/

They now seem to require 8GB minimum, 16 GB recommended. Something to do with PCI-E caching. (I don't pretend to understand that.)

    Just a factoid, irrelevant mostly.

If you look at memory map you'd probably see that as much GRAM there is that much may also be reserved from RAM. My GPU has 1GB and same amount is mapped to RAM.
Those "ridiculous" cards are meant for serious business and programs to run such applications require high end processors and of course oodles of RAM.

I guess a one to one size is no real error then.
I do like a 2 to 1 ratio at least. 1 GB video to 2 to 4 GB ram, etc.

Even that ratio doesn't mean much, it all depends on SW used. You may have SW that thrives on a lot of RAM but amount of memory on GPU could be much smaller.

The Titan X is sort of an aberration. While it has 12GB of VRAM, it is marketed as a gaming card. I doubt that it's a good replacement for the workstation cards that are intended for serious work.

I went to see family and when I came back I cold booted my computer and now my Ethernet is not working. I am using a usb wifi adapter.
It had a Page Fault. I can not see a driver on the manufacturer's page.

Did you check in Device Manager ?
