    No 4K resolution after upgrade

    Hi all,

I upgrade my Win7 Pro to Win10 Pro last night and lost my 3840x2160x30 setup, being reduced back to 1980x1200.

I've since done a clean install and reinstalled the latest drivers for my Samsung U28D590D and My ATI Radeon HD 5770.

Nothing i have done has given me back my 4K resolution.

    Does anyone know a solution?

    I have the same monitor.

No problem here getting 3840X2160 @ 60 Hz (DisplayPort interface). My graphics card is from nVidia, though.

I was still able to get the UHD resolution without the monitor "drivers" installed.

Are you sure that the Radeon drivers are installed? (Check Device Manager.)

I'm positive that the correct drivers for both monitor and graphics card are installed.

I have no idea on where to go next.

Gonk, have you tried to create a custom resolution?

(One can even 'overclock' the monitor by setting higher frequency than monitor lists, I've currently set my monitors to non-standard 67 Hz)

I have Nvidia card so I can't give detailed instructions, but I did found this: Add a Custom Video Resolution ( AMD ) :: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II General Discussions which seems to give similar instructions to ATI Catalyst for creating a custom resolution.

    Hi there
Works fine for me too on 4K monitor.

I assume of course that your computer has a graphics card capable of driving that resolution -- if you have a multi-monitor setup you might have to disable the monitor with the lower resolution. Use the Win+P keys.

    Cheers

Ciantic: I can't get custom resolutions to work.

jimbo45: ATI Radeon HD 5770 and the 3840x2160x30 resolution was working with Windows 7 before i upgraded.
