There are so many reasons that could be happening, I can't say there is a normal fix honestly.

What you tried is a good first step and the most obvious with that driver getting mentioned.

Troubleshooting is a lot of trial and error usually.

Ah many thanks. Just a quick question. Do chipset drivers and graphics drivers work in cohesion? Just wondering if they rely on each other etc

Some do, like some laptops or other boards with integrated graphics.

Chipset drivers are often needed just to be able to recognize other components.

I don't really know a lot about that just stuff I picked up here, I'm sure others can go into more detail.

This will help others know what you have if you fill it out,

Bit strange. I tried to uninstall the graphics programs that came with the updated driver (its called Radeon Settings now not CCC). I have uninstalled it and when I restarted I had to change my resolution. But CCC is now showing bit its not showing all the settings. I'm wondering if the issue i m having that's causing the errors is because its installed over the previous driver rather than overwriting it if that makes sense.

Actually have the same BSOD issue, it only occurs after my display driver crashed too much. Currently using 14.12 catalyst.

you can try using DDU and then reinstall the previous drivers you were using
