Windows 10 keeps disabling GeForce 980!.b

    Hi
i have had four goes at upgrading to Windows 10
The install goes ok but unfortunately the drivers for my GeForce 10 keep being disabled and I get error 43 in device manager.
i have had the same issue each time and been unable to get it to work and reverted back to w7.
i have tried to re install the drivers but although it says it is successful it still doesn't work and I get the error 43. Also the nvidia control panel won't open.

i am tempted to do a clean install but would be really miffed if it didn't work!
i have searched lots of forums but not found a solution that works.
i would very much appreciate some help
does anyone have any idea what I can do?

    Hi and welcome!
Have you ever updated the bios? Current version is 1 C.
Also ever thought of an offline installation and then manually install the driver from the manufacturer?

Sometimes it is very useful to reinstall without Internet to carry out only with Boot Media. because then loads the driver after not all and you can try the original install drivers from the manufacturer. Because otherwise MS tries his Driver to install. And that can lead to problems.

    I just had a strange occurrence .
i read that you should try and disable Windows updates and then install the GeForce driver, so I disabled it.
i then installed the driver but again it gave error 43 however I checked Windows update and it said there was a nvidia driver update. So l let it install and kept my fingers crossed, there was a slight change in the graphics but not full so I checked the device manager and this time it gave error 19 saying there was a problem with the registry so now I need to solve this?
    any thoughts?

    try sfc /scannow.....

In the command prompt window which opens, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
