Why gtx 780 ti is better than gtx 960?
Gtx 960 newer than gtx 780 ti, how older gpu can be better than the new one wtf?

Better is a relative term. I don't think it too surprising to find the 780ti, which was the top of the 700 series to have performance higher than the 960, which is the bottom of the 900 series. Not really comparing apples to apples. Compare it to a 980 ti and see what you get. The original cost between the two as well as the power draw would be a lot different as well.

Remember that the 2nd digit indicates where the model is in the lineup. so, the "6", "7" and "9" series have multiple models, so the 2nd number indicates where the model is in the lineup. For example, a 670 would be "faster" than a "750", but it may have less RAM and use more power to achieve that performance. The "660" would be comparable to the "960" in terms of model cpabilities, but the performance would not be exactly the same.... just comparable...
