    Extremely weird behavior with HDR

I just got a Philips 27E1N8900 4K HDR monitor and it's working pretty good so far, but I noticed that sometimes when I enable HDR from the display settings if I enlarge a video on YouTube or Amazon Prime (the only two sites I tested on) the HDR will actually turn off, and when it turns off the screen doesn't go black for 5 seconds like it does when you normally enable/disable HDR, the HDR effect literally just turns off without the video missing a frame. How is that even possible?

But it gets even stranger. Sometimes the HDR will be toggled OFF in the display settings but it clearly is on for the entire desktop plus videos, including full screen.

But it gets even weirder. Sometimes when I go fullscreen the black bars at the top and bottom are still true black, but the video in the middle has lost its HDR effect. Now, surely, this is impossible? That means basically, part of the screen is in HDR mode and part isn't.

I've only had the monitor about a week, but I didn't really start noticing these issues until I tried making an AutoHotkey to enable/disable HDR. After I started using it, I noticed the HDR would turn off when I viewed videos in fullscreen.

But since the issue started, I have closed all AutoHotKey scripts, and restarted my computer and haven't used them since, but it still does this even when I manually turn the HDR on/off.

Here is a sample of the AutoHotKey script I used.

    Run, ms-settings:display
    SetTitleMatchMode, 2
    Sleep 1000
    WinActivate, Settings
    Send, `t
    Send, `t
    Send, " "
    Sleep 500
    Send !{f4}

Has anyone seen an issue like this before? It seems related to Windows, but I want to make sure it's not my monitor, because I am still within the return period.

Do you have any backup in place, even Restore Point ?
If not, then reset the Operating System to the condition which it was in before you "rescripted " the AutoHotKey.

I don't have a restore point to use. You think AutoHotKey could have messed up registry or something?

    It is possible.
In Powershell [admin ],type in ---dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth ---and run it.
Then type in ---sfc /scannow ---and continue with it until a clean report is given.
See if that cleans the System.
