Adding Display Port with MST hub???

I'm looking at Motherboards for a new Windows 10 22H2 build. I plan to use the on-chip GPU from a 12th or 13th Gen i5 processor. The ATX Boards often have 1 Display Port and 1 HDMI port for video monitors. The following MSI PRO B760-P mobo is an example:

More commonly, Micro ATX mobos have additional graphics ports. An example is the following MSI PRO B760M-A which has 2 Display Ports and 2 HDMI ports:

According to the user manual each of these ports on either board will support a maximum resolution of 4k at 60Hz. Here is a snip from the B760M manual:

I am leaning toward the ATX board. This is the B760-P, with only two graphics ports. I may want to add a 3rd monitor in the future so I'm considering how I might do that. There are DP MST hubs such as the one below, that claim to add multiple display ports from a single display port:

Here are some questions I have:

1. If I connect this type of MST hub to the display port, does the existing native HDMI port function the same?
2. Presumably I can use the above device to create a total of 3 Display ports in addition to the existing HDMI port. With the MST hub in place, will the four ports provide the same maximum 4k, 60Hz resolution seen in the snip from the B760M manual?
3. What is the loss in adding ports from a single display port using this hub?

Yes but only depending on resolution X monitor count.

You would only get 60hz at 1080p or 2 k and then it gets less practical the higher the resolution on the hub, going by this diagram for this model.

The existing ports on your computer would do the rated speed by the motherboards manual.

Thanks, Malneb for this good information! From what you’ve said, it looks like the supported resolutions across three monitors using the hub, are not different then what is natively supported on the PRO B760M mobo that comes with four ports on the mobo. So, no real disadvantage to adding ports with the hub, relative to buying the mobo with native four ports. Is this correct?
