My monitor is flickering. Can I do anything about it?
PC specs: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/J...v6yrKlpMMqIWU7
I have four monitors connected to my Nvidia NVS 510 adaptor. One of them is a Dell U2311H, which has started flickering intermittently. When it happens (which is a few times per day) it goes on for a while, but it's not happening all the time.
None of the other three monitors flicker, which makes me think it's the monitor itself, not the display adaptor. The monitor is connected via a DisplayPort cable.
I checked both ends of the cable, and it's seated fine.
I used ScreenToGif (ScreenToGif) to capture an animation whilst it was flickering, but the animation didn't show any flickering. Assuming ScreenToGif pulls its data from the adaptor, this further implies (to my non-technical mind) that the adaptor is fine.
So, based on this, am I right in thinking it's the monitor? If so, is there any way to fix it, or is even worth the effort? The monitor was manufacturer in 2011, and I think I bought it not long after that, so I've had good use out of it.
Thanks for any advice you can give. if there's any other info I need to supply, please let me know.
