One big difference between the driver directly from AMD and the one through WU is the AMD one is DCH while the WU one is UWP.

There was a bit of excitement in that thread when that driver (and a few after it as well) that they were working better than the direct driver. Also if you read enough of it your do get a version of Radeon Settings with the driver, it is just missing a few things (record and Stream, as well as a couple of others). It is sort of a Radeon Settings Lite if you will.

Interesting info stormy13. I am going to check this. As for questions asked about nVidia driver, yes Windows installs dch version and gets nVidia's CP from MS Store.
