    Hi werty,

No, I did not use or try the Modified Windows 8.1 drivers. But getting those will be my first step if I find the time to do this myself.

    Thanks, werty!

Yeah you can try to install them or you have to find an older version of the drivers released by Intel as they have a habbit to blacklist newer OS in the inf. of their newer drivers.

I think it's generally because of marketing. As they release new chips, they need to control the flow of usability. It's like damage-control before the actual damage.

Also, they need to kill off older chips so they can sell the new ones... especially the very good old chips. :)

the hd3000 in windows 8.1 supports:
    opencl,direct compute,direct ml and opengl 3.0

in 10 all theese are deactivated because the driver in microsoft catalog dont installed fully and i dont know why.

Yes boombastik, you are correct. Why they deactivated all these in Windows 10 is probably marketing-related. It's the mentality that something is too old so you can't use it anymore and you need to buy a new one. I believe in that, too... just not for everything. :)

It's because the driver is provided by Microsoft and it doesn't have all the features that Intel incorporates. Try to install older driver from Windows 8/7 that has the features.

Hi , I find your topic very interesting. I have a laptop which has i5 2410 CPU and hd3000 Gpu on win 10 home 64 bit. When I try to use gtx750 ti as egpu, I come across some problems with hd3000 driver. I use cs go of steam as gpu test. In internal display , I got 15-60 fps with hd3000 and couldn't use egpu. Then I uninstalled hd3000 driver and try. With Microsoft basic display driver I got 60-110 fps with able to use egpu in internal display. It would be wonderful if we have a full capacity win10 driver for hd3000. I hope you can do it. I don't have any knowledge about drivers. I am sorry, I am not capable to help you..
