"Helmut's" posting made me look at the Hadron case again.

I hadn't noticed that it has only 2 card slots, right above the PSU.

When using a graphics card that take ups 2 slots (RTX 2060, GTX 1660ti, Radeon RX 5700, etc.), it may be necessary to use a blower card just so that it'll physically fit.

There is also a concern about the PSU. It's a 500W unit. Its 40A rating on the +12V rail suggests that it may be as good or better than some cheap 600W PSUs, though.

I may need to apologize to your "PC expert", if it turns out that a blower card is the only 2 slot type that'll fit.

So are you saying that all open-air cards take up more than 2 slots?

Some do, some don't. Here are two examples, looking from the output port end of the cards. One is my graphics card, and the second is a Gigabyte GTX 1660 ti intended for mITX systems. Both are dual slot cards. My card has a fan housing that protrudes beyond the 2 slot profile. Could be a problem. The 1660 ti, no problem.

You'll just have to check the individual cards you are considering.

I got the images from Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more - Newegg.com. It appears that if you use their advanced search function, you can filter on 2 slot cards. It appears that suppresses cards wider than that, even if they use a 2 slot mount. You may find that useful, even if you are unable or unwilling to buy from Newegg.

MSI GeForce RTX 2060 VENTUS 6G OC

The above card is a 2 slot card and doesn't look like it goes any wider.

To confirm you don't think a open-air fan card like this would cause heat problems in my mini-itx case. There will be a gap between the fans and the psu but there will be not much so will that be enough air flow?

That's a 3 slot card. No good for "jamos316". The eVGA mITX case has only 2 slots.

Can you estimate the gap between the bottom of the lower slot and the top of the PSU? eVGA claims that a 2 slot card will fit, but a 2.75 card will not. A slot width is about 19 mm, so the gap appears to be less than 14 mm for a 2 slot card. Whether a gap that small is adequate for axial fans, I don't know. I'd guess that it's OK.

Looking for 2060 blower cards, the only one listed at Newegg is this one: ASUS Turbo GeForce RTX 2060 DirectX 12 TURBO-RTX2060-6G Video Card - Newegg.com

It's 269 mm long, which is 2 mm too long for your case.

I wondered whether the PSU has the 8 pin PCI-E auxiliary power connection for the card: it actually has two 6+2 pin ones, which is good.

I have been looking at the same card 'ASUS Turbo RXT 2060' however the one selling here in a local store is 268mm in length which is 1mm too long.

Are they usually exact with their measurements?
Im thinking as it's local I can drive down there with the pc and ask them to install it. Will then know for sure if it fits.

The other card they sell which I think will fit is the "MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus OC"

The MSI card looks OK. It's 226 mm long, and 2 slots wide.
