    Wrong Screen Resolution.

I have a R9 290 Graphics card and on Windows 7 I could use the 1920x1080 resolution no problem but on Windows 10 the screen is now larger than my actual monitor, as if my screen is enlarged. Anyone know whats up with this? I've tried changing resolution and went through them all with no luck so far. And the drivers are updated...

So if you select 1920x1080 in the resolution settings, it will still look wonky?

If you've tried selecting that resolution and it still looked weird, some monitors have a button (usually called Auto) that re-adjusts the screen to best fit it.

I have this button called PC-auto but that didn't do anything either.

If you're using the CCC package, you can go to Preferences and try to "Restore Factory Defaults, or you can try to uninstall/reinstall.

I had the same problem as you. I set the res to 1920 X 1080 and all is as it should be now.

My ACER monitor also has a border of black about 1.5 inches wide all around. Setting the screen resolution to anything available doesn't help. I note that my display adapter is the basic windows 10 adapter, not my Nvidia 670, and I can't get Nvidia drivers to work. The monitor is the basic PNP monitor.

If there is an option to change the refresh rate, maybe the default is not optimal. Sometimes an overscan or underscan makes it just right for the monitor.

For some reason suddenly the Nvidia drivers loaded so all is well.
