    nVidia 353.62 won't install.

    Hi folks.
I'm running a DTX550Ti on a 64 bit install. The W10 upgrade gave me the basic windows driver so I downloaded the latest nVidia driver (V 353.62). When I try to install it I get an "Install Failed" from the installation programme. No reason given, just install failed.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Simon.

I hunted around on the net and here's the solution...

Go into task manager and kill all the nvidia tasks.
    Run the driver install.
    Enjoy!
It will take some time before you get a screen after the reboot, just wait, it'll get there. :)

The problem occurs with the 500 series cards and the 353.62 driver running on Windows 10.

Use the 350.12 from here and it should install perfectly

From there give the 353.62 driver a shot via Windows update. You could try killing nVidia tasks with task manager. The upgrade from 350.12 to 353.62 may or may not work depending on your specifics. Alternatively you could try the 353.62 .exe with the same steps.

In conclusion this will at least give you genuine drivers with more performance than the generic drivers. nVidia and Microsoft are working on a patch for this issue now. Living with 350.12 for now isn't so bad.
