I have an nvidia card. When I upgraded, it showed a yellow triangle in device manager. But, yesterday morning, Windows downloaded and installed some update, then it told me to reboot to 'fix errors' - so I did and my card is now not only perfect, but I think a clearer image than when in 8.1. Maybe its my imagination because win 10 is fast, but its an imporvement so what the heck .................

For me after an upgrade it installed it right away, did not like idea at first because i thought it might of installed all software from NVIDIA like GeForce Experience so i downloaded drivers and tried to do a clean install it failed numerous times. Heard of issues with the NVIDIA driver software installer doing this on sites for Windows 10.

After i did a clean install and i installed it myself, as there was no issues with NVIDIA install this time. No issues with Drivers or card even before clean install.

I also have a a GT610 1GB and no issues, in any game or browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge...) using the latest Win10 Nvidia drivers. I didn't need to use older ones. The only crashes I had were because I was overclocking it too much xD

Use DDU which you can find below to remove your drivers and then install fresh from Nvidia or AMD.

If read whole post you will see this option was already used, by the thread starter.

Good to know, has me wondering a bit different about thread starters issues being only the driver could be conflict with newer driver and something else on system he has compared to you.

Strange how a custom install and selecting check mark at bottom to perform a clean install for NVIDIA Drivers software does not do it as good, been using that feature for long time with no issues.

Yeah maybe the OP had a driver conflict, corrupted install or something, He also has a more older MB and CPU, but I don't think that could be the cause. At first and as was reported in the forums, WU would try to install a different (or newer) driver form than of the Nvidia site, and that was a pain, as it caused the video card to go nuts, stopping rendering 3D and such (but no driver stopped responding crashes). afterm Nvidia released 353.62, everything is working fine
