How to get rid of the "lines" under every task bar button?

I am talking about these lines:

I don't like them because they shrink the icon size and when I move the cursor to the bottom of the screen where the red arrow is and click it doesn't register, which can be annoying.

I don't see any size difference in my icons and I can click on the very bottom of the screen where the lines are without any problem at all.

I mean it doesn't reach the bottom of the screen, but rather it only registers when you click a dozen pixels or so above the bottom of the screen.

Removing the lines won't change anything. I don't think there is a way to do it, but the lines are not causing your problem.

Mine don't go all of the way to the exact bottom of the display either, but I can click as far down as my mouse will go and I can select no problem.

There's something wrong with your hardware/drivers then, probably your graphics card.
