Where are those win95 icons :) if you said Vista, then yes, there are still old Vista/7 icons scattered around instead of the flatter current ones
    Here, for one!

Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties, there should be an option to disable Show Desktop button. I'm not on my PC at the moment so can't find the exact method.

There doesn't seem to be an option for me! I've disabled peek and it's still there. There's no option to disable the "show desktop" button.

True!, I believe that as this may be a deprecated/legacy/internal feature they left the icon for nostagia xD, like the "writer", "winhlp32", "hh" icons, as well as the regedit!

Do you all see this? On PowerShell ISE, the menu and tool bar has a weird blue tinge to it all the way across the menu.
My other desktop apps dont have this.

I don't like how the clock is not vertically centered within the taskbar. This is in "Use small taskbar buttons" mode.
It's centred in the area that is: the taskbar height minus the height of the coloured lines that show under the open window buttons.

I assume that was a deliberate design choice.

"ESP" and the clock are obviously misaligned, being "ESP" correctly centered :)

I agree. It's amazing that they didn't pick this up during the very public beta.

I don't like having the Aero only in the start menu and taskbar. What was the point of including it there, but not in the window title bar or borders? And the least they could have done was give an option to manually pick colors for the title bar and borders. Even tried downloading some themes hoping someone would have added color to those areas and no joy... plane old boring white.

    Yup, without a doubt misaligned.

Hopefully fixed in the next patch.
