Booted into my cloned copy of Win7 Pro 30 minutes ago and the download started after 10 minutes. I now have $Windows.~BT folder.

    Edit: download complete. 3.6GB.

I use Networx Download Monitor and it showed 3.6 GB but my $Windows.~BT Folder is more than 4GB. It obviously existed before today and is showing it was created July 10, 2015.

What happens if you let the computer idle for say 10 minutes so that Automatic Maintenance/Windows Update runs? Or maybe manually run Automatic Maintenance from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Action Center > Maintenance Tab > Start Maintenance. Does it start downloading then?

Yes, it does on my system. Thank you! +1 rep

Edited: Following the above tip got me this:

What should I do about the space on my computer? The compatibility report says everything is okay. So, I really don't know.

A lot of you are worried about the Size of the $Windows-BT Folder
    Everybody's will be different
As not only is it the installer - it also downloads the updated windows 10 drivers for your system

Are you talking about hard drive space? If so, do you mean too little space for the upgrade?

If that's the case, you'll need to remove some stuff so the upgrade can happen.

And the whining about the upgrade begins. Tomorrow will be much worse. Where's MY free upgrade?

If you want to make an ISO image of the actual Upgrade for your PC

Download and extract the correct Oscdimg .zip and copy the contents (files) into the Windows\System32 folder

And then run this from command prompt (admin)

    Code:
    Oscdimg -bootdata:2#p0,e,bEtfsboot.com#pEF,e,bEfisys.bin -h -m -o -u1 -udfver102 "C:\$Windows.~BT" C:\PC_Upgrade.iso
You will find the PC_Upgrade.iso on C:\

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My PC Upgrade ISO.zip -> download, extract, run cmd as admin
If the needed MS files are not in windows\system32 the program will copy them there
The program will ask you to name the PC and then proceed to create Upgrade ISO

    -----------------

    ESD-WIM-ISO.zip -> download, extract, copy INSTALL.ESD from > $Windows-BT \ sources <folder
to ESD-WIM-ISO folder and run cmd as admin > select option 6 to get a standard setup ISO

No signs of $Windows-BT after manually running maintenance. Oh well. No rush.
