24 hours, and I still don't have a $Windows.~BT folder in C: (and yes, I disabled hiding protected OS files in Folder Options). Will just have to find an ISO somewhere.
Is it normal that my $windows.-BT folder is still 140Mb? I've checked the SoftwareDistribution\Download directories and there's approximately 2.6GB of data in there, but there's been little or no movement on anything for several hours. Just hoping it isn't stuck somehow!
So the upgrade/installation files downloaded yesterday.
I rebooted into XP for the rest of the day and overnight and re-booted into Win7 this morning about 2 hours ago.
So far nothing has happened, so I will wait until I see a notification that the upgrade is ready. I'm not going to risk breaking anything just to force the issue.
Windows Update does not have an indication that the upgrade is ready to be installed nor does the Get Windows 10 App.
As of this morning my $Windows.~BT folder had 5.93Gb in it. I've tried to use Windows Update but have had 2 fails for Win10 Home. Did 1-3 on the above list. "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" was empty. Now the $Windows.~BT folder has dropped from 5.93Gb to 140Mb & stuck & C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download has 30.8Mb of data! Huh?
