    20% off for Insiders.

    Hey guys,

I noticed an article from PCWorld in my Facebook feed saying that Microsoft Insiders will get a 20% if they buy from the Microsoft store on July 29th.

I have one question, is there anyway I could order online and just log in to my Insider account?

    -Chuck

PS: I'll try to find the article.

EDIT: Found it. Windows Insiders will get 20 percent off on Windows 10 launch day | PCWorld

It seems you have to order through the Insider Hub. :(

    Hi there

    Just install the Insider Hub.

There *might* though be a problem with this -- will the offer be for US residents only and will other versions of Windows 10 be available such as GB, FR, NL etc.

For people who don't qualify for the FREE upgrade though - this looks a good deal if it's genuinely available to ALL insiders.

    Cheers

Here's my problem, Jimbo. I'm afraid I'm away from my PC for the time being, and won't be back till after the 29th.

That's why I was wondering if there would be any other way to be able to take advantage of it.

If true, your MSA will get an email with the offer of a discount. You could look here from any PC, and sign in:

    https://account.microsoft.com/

but over the past few days this has been a bit flaky.

There is a shopping basket, your devices with Windows 10 installed (activated or not, and this area seems flaky) should appear there, and any recent Store purchases, oh, and your picture if you ever uploaded one and your Microsoft email account. You get taken there from Settings, Account etc., and "manage your account"

    Hi there

Thanks for the link -- Removed 6 devices (no longer using) that I didn't know were linked to the account.

    Cheers

just to clear some things up.

the 20% off is not for windows 10, its 20% off windows 10 hardware and devices.

    just saying incase people misunderstood.

But what is the lifetime of the devices?
Some people are misunderstanding that, to put it mildly.

Martin, we're not talking about that and it has nothing to do with this thread.

There are multiple threads concerning that issue, please go there and not hijack this thread. Thank-you.
