Will the update to windows 10 remove all the Asus bloatware ?

As I'm sure you're all aware, Asus (and others) love to fill up their laptop harddrives with bloatware and junk. My question is simple - when I get the upgrade to windows 10, will it automatically get rid of all that rubbish ?

    Thanks.

No.. the only way to get rid of that is by doing it yourself. The upgrade will not remove any of that.

Although the upgrade method will not remove any bloatware, (or any other user content, programs etc. )., it has been stated that once you have upgraded to win10, (and thus proved eligibility), you will be able to download an ISO and install a fresh copy of Windows which will remove all bloatware. You should of course ensure you can obtain drivers for any specific ASUS hardware before you do a fresh install

Use the free "Decrapifier". It will get rid of most, if not all, the junk (bloatware).

Upgrade or clean install ve sure you have a backup of your data before proceeding. There are too many ways that things can go wrong, too many opportunities to make mistakes or misunderstand what will happen.

Are you talking about the stuff like this:

Will the update to windows 10 remove all the Asus bloatware ?-2015-07-20_213047.jpg

ASUS motherboards also include a DVD with a huge number of ASUS programs that can be running. After about my 5th ASUS board, I realized that I never used any of them so I just say "NO" and deselect them all when running the ASUS setup.

If it is real bloatware (I am looking a YOU McAfee), then a clean sweep will do you good. BACK UP FIRST.
