Any Official Sources of Windows 10 Upgrade as ISO?

I have at least 5 Windows 7 PCs in my house and one on my boat. I really don't want to have to download Windows several times, especially on the 3G only computer.

There was an Insider article that stated "You will be able to download the update through Windows Update or you can download .ISO media and use it do an in place upgrade ..."

Has anyone seen an official source stating when the Windows 10 Upgrade will be released as an ISO?

By the way, great news that this forum has evolved from the fantastic SevenForums, always my first port of call.

I'm assuming that you're referring to 10240 and the answer is no. MS want's to test the upgrade procedure with that build and they have not supplied an ISO. There is a solid ISO available from MS News and I'll PM you the link.

    Hi there
The best method IMO is to hope that either an ISO (or equivalent USB device) is released at RTM or to make your own ISO from the install-esd file - method is in the tutorials.

I agree - downloading the SAME entire update each time for a whole slew of computers isn't a good idea. I can't believe this is the final method of doing that.

Also I suppose Corporates will want to have some method of "Sysprepping" too --they wont want to download 2,000 times or more the same update.

    Cheers

Thanks Jeff, unfortunately all the links are now dead. I did find this one.

I tried to reply to your PM, but apparently I can't as a new user, even though I was with SevenForums since it started

    Hi Jimbo,

That's pretty much what I was asking: when will this be released. Not in any great hurry (he lied).

So long as it comes out before I go to my boat next month, I'll be happy. If not, I'm downloading the ISO above just in case.

I have got mine from here, pretty solid download speed.

Official ISO, once you have esd files, you can create "official" ISO yourself.

Create your own. Do one upgrade then use the ESDtoISO tool to create the ISO then burn a DVD or create a flash drive to install from. That's what I did.

The update setting to allow getting updates from other PCs is there but how/when will it work?
