    Just tested again

Yes, it works for me, only for Windows explorer windows however...

make sure to continue to hold ctrl until you have closed the window, wait a second then reopen and it will reopen at the same size you left it.

If it is not working for you perhaps a full reinstall of windows lol jokes

I've done this countless times. Needless to say -but I'll say it anyway- : this doesn't work for me.

    I have the solution!
Run your windows maximized! After all, isn't that half the reason you bought a 32" monitor!?
If you want to work in the most unproductive way possible in a single screen set-up, you could run windows maximised

On my pc it behaves like it suppose to in the earlier builds of win 10 TP. Don't have to use window manager anymore.

I think it's working the way it's supposed to now.
On one desktop, it remembers the position; on multiple desktops, each window edges over so that when collapsed, they don't lay directly on top of each other:

One problem remains: each subsequent window wants to creep over onto the 2nd monitor!

I have been using the XnShellEx64 fix, and that works fine. But its good to hear it is fixed in 10525.
