Big question asked on Eight-Forums during the time of update or upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1. Wonder if be any way of doing a clean install on Windows 8.1 PC with a downloaded upgrade ISO of Windows 10. Way then with Win 8.

I'm not worried about a clean install. I'm worried of the TOTAL space I need for the upgrade to be able to do its thing. You have to download 3GB of data - I pretty much don't care how big the initial download is - it's all about "After that, how much do I need?"
At a clean install, that I know. I mean at the free update.
If you still have $BT..... folder and winows.old, add those two and that would be about what minimum of empty space you'd need for upgrade
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources. is the folder to look for, you might need to enable view "system files" to see it.
