Password for Documents/Files/Pictures
I have lot of documents on my computer. Such as openoffice word and openoffice excel documents. Basically any file on my computer whether its this a word or excel document or pictures or videos you can just click on it and open it without any issue.
Is there a way to put a password on certain documents on my computer? What about a folder with pictures? I did this last time with documents but for some reason, there were 2 of the same document. One required a password to open. The other however did not. I think i used either winrar or 7 zip. So basically it didn't do anything.
The other thing is what about pictures? Let say i have lots of pictures in one big folder. This folder then has subfolders inside etc. Is there a way to put a password on the main photos folder where you have to put a password in order to open it? But once you do, then you can click on any subfolders inside that main folder and open any picture without an issue? I tried this last time with winrar or 7zip and had similar problem. It would require you to put password but then it required you to put the password for every single photo... So its like this. Folder that is called pictures. Then inside pictures, i have lot of folders that are say folder a, b, c, d, e etc. I want to be able to then click on any of these folders then view pictures without having to type in that same password everytime. Because if it required a password to view each photo, then obviously no one will bother with this.
The other thing i thought was if i put a password for my local account as in before logging into my computer, would that be enough and none of this would be necessary? I have no password for my computer so when i turn it on, well everything is there.
Also would there be a quick option to turn off and then turn on the password require for these things? Or there isn't?
