I don't plan to upgrade any of my Win 7 or Win 8.1 machines to Win 10 and won't adopt Win 10 until I build or buy a new machine sometime in the future. I don't have any immediate plans to move to a new machine so it probably will be 2 years or so before I do.

This might sound a little silly to some of you but, the only ISO I have downloaded was win 10 preview. Where should I look for the ISO for the free win 10 once it's available? Is there a website Microsoft uses for all ISOs?

I suspect we may be able to chose options when the download comes through, similar to the way it worked for the W8 upgrade:

    I'm with you, Strollin.

I voted no update to stay with 8.1 that's always had a Live account. No way would I ever update my 8.1 loosing that license. I won't even allow them to give this thing to me. It's a bass turd child of 7 and 8.1 IMO. What a mishmash of ancient and modern. An absolute navigational nightmare, especially with a keyboard. It'll be a long time before I use it as my primary OS. Eventually down the road 10 will evolve into an OS very similar to 8.1. I'll buy a key just to have one and dual boot. I'll tinker and surf with it is about all. Maybe even stay in the Insider program if offered.

The only two new features worth while to me are Spartan and Cortana. I think they'll eventually release Spartan to 8.1. Cortana I can live without in 8.1. The search is so much better. I've got Cortana on my Lumia anyway.

Wait until month 11, grab the free upgrade after early bugs are fixed, and then probably go back to my Windows 7 retail licence until they kill support in 2020 and I'm forced to upgrade.

I updated post# 1 because of your question and Edwin's answer
... basically it's not clear yet what mechanism will be employed for downloading the Win10 Current Branch (RTM) ISO
