again it cannot be done unless you can get into the os through safe mode. that means doing a repair install.
well that's sad because repairing isn't working at all i tried it too many times to reset it but it keep failing on me and by the way what's the main problem with the advanced startup cmd window why can't we work with that.

I wonder if Kyhi's Windows 10 Recovery Tools and Bootable Rescue Disk would work, if Droyk could download it and install the program on a usb stick, then boot to it, to see if he could access his drives thur Kyhi's app.

My registry got corroupted and I don't have any method to restore it

Hey guys as you guys can tell from the title my registry got corrupted because of my own stupidity but fortunately I have a registry backup I have backed the registry through registry editor it only gave me a one big registry file and now I want to restore that registry but I can't get inside of my computer because it crashes on boot I have tried all the safe modes but no luck I don't have any other backup plz help me I don't want to lose this system plz

    Important notes
I have already downloaded & created a bootable USB of Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk as suggested by OldMike65 but I don't know how to restore my registry with that.

I have tried to reset my system with keeping my personal files intact but that didn't help no matter how many times I try it always stop on 80% says there is an error

    • Is there is any way I can upgrade a corrupted system without opening it because I can't open my system at all and without opening it I can't upgrade, Is there is any I can upgrade my corrupted system from another drive.

plz guys help me I don't want to lose this system

If you wish, you can try:
    1. Boot up with Windows 10 installation media (USB or DVD). On first screen, hold SHIFT+F10 to get the command prompt.
    2. Navigate to: C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack
NOTE: Since you have multiple OS's. C: might be different, just make sure it is correct drive letter that's pointing to the folder of the troubled OS.
    3. Copy everything under the folder in step 2 to C:\Windows\System32\config
    4. Reboot the PC.

    Hi,

They're supposed to be empty. Those files were created when W10 finished installing that machine.
The ones you have in the "Config" folder are corrupted, or so it seems.

You can copy them from within your second W10 install if you like , no need to boot off of install media for that.

If I may ask, what's on that first disk that can't be copied or retrieved whilst running the second install ?

    Cheers,

I tried that but no luck I got ahead of boot crashing but now struck with black screen blinking on every 10 to 15 seconds.

He wasn't trolling you, I checked my directory Config and RegBack, I saw numerous LOG files and other stuff in RegBack that could be copied over into Config directory. I'm listening in, learning alongside you, in case such ever happens to me.

LOL. No, no, he's just resetting things the way they were when Windows finished installing. It may seem a bit drastic but it may save your install.

I tried that but no luck I got ahead of boot crashing but now struck with black screen blinking on every 10 to 15 seconds.
I thought you were dual booting and at least one of them was operational. The one without your work on it. Am I wrong ?

Fair enough but you really should start to make images of your system....
In your case doing as suggested by Topgundcp would also reset the user installed software database, I think.

When you edited the registry was that hardware related or software ?

    Cheers,
