Thanks very much. Still, I feel defeated. If SFC's scan report in the CBS log identifies all the files which are problematic, can't the problem files which are not allowing the repair program to complete be replaced with good ones, just enough to then let the repair program fix the rest?

    Hi,

We all can understand how feel about this and frankly I don't like to throw in the towel either.
Still there's a point when all can do is accept the facts and move on.
I feel further trying to repeat the same remedy will just lead to endless frustration.

If it were me I'd look at the bright side and upgrade straight to the Anniversary Edition which is quite good actually.

    Bon courage,

Is it no longer possible to revert back to Windows 7 via repair install, then upgrade again to Win10?

    Hi,

No, that won't work and besides that it doesn't help you any.

    Cheers,
