How to remove/or uninstall "Recent Items" in the windows 10 menu

Hello everyone! When the windows menu pops up,when i hit the windows icon, coming down the list, you've got, documents, pictures, games, then "recent items", aside from opening a guest account, how can i alter that item, so other people viewing my computer, can see content that i don't want them to see.

Understand? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Is this what you need?

And you can encrypt sensitive folders or 'hide' them using various utilities.

I don`t even see the option for "recent items" or even "games" in settings. Are you using Windows 10 or 7 ???

Win 10 Pro + Aeroglass (program) with a particular atlastheme that provides rounded corners. And a couple of other mods.

Nice but I don`t see how that helps the OP :)

Post a link to the program, but a sfc would probably boot it off the system

The MCP would hunt it down and kick it off the grid

I have the option to "remove from Quick Access" if I right click on the header of the Frequent Folders or Frequent Files Folders

these will return but they are a simple way to clear the entries

Right clicking the Quick Access folder then Options allow the folders to be removed from Quick access permanently

You can also add other folders to quick access if you use a particular folder often ( think favourite Folders in older windows versions )

Did you see the red ring in my screenshot in #2?
That's an answer.. this last simply confirmed I was using Win 10 not 7 in response to the OP's question, in case he thought my answer in #2 didn't apply to '10. Hope that's clear.

(And SFC /Scannow doesn't affect Aeroglass or my theme)

But he didn`t ask about the Quick Access area, he asked about the items right above the start button/window.

He also has me a bit confused, which isn`t hard to do

Post a link to that program please, I want it
