    10130 On raw hardware

So, I've been running Windows 10 in a VM since day 1... and have not run It on real hardware.

After my primary drive started flaking out, I went out and bought a new SSD, and decided to just bite the bullet and install Windows 10 as my primary OS and take all the associated risks.

So far, i'm really enjoying it. It's very fast. Edge (Spartan) is working well. I haven't even bothered to open IE for anything yet.

The only issue I've had was that initially, Windows 10 didn't detect my NVidia GTX 650 and only one display was available, but after a windows update and reboot all was fine.

This is actually feeling pretty solid to me. We'll see how it goes after the next upgrade.

You’re lucky when I do a fresh install I have to direct it manually to: windows old/windows/system 32
For all the drivers. Otherwise It won’t detect anything, not even the Wi-Fi, unless I hardwire it.

I've lucky when running Win10 on raw hardware(SSD). Never had a real issue with drivers(Audio/Graphic) and it has just worked for me. Yes, I had minor issues but we've all had some in the development cycle that MS has gone through with this OS.

I'm happy with it and I can't wait to use the free upgrade and I might purchase the home retail edition when it comes out.

Same here but it is a little strange that all other versions of windows recognize and install all drivers on my pc except windows 10 and we’re so close to RTM.

I found the same issue with Vista.. but when the MFG finally got around to updating the drivers all was good.

I don’t remember having driver issues since MS dos times and maybe windows 95.
I’m sure it’ll be sorted out within the next few weeks.

The issue was with the sound card.. Creative Sound Blaster is very slow updating the drivers and it took a bit before they had them ready for Vista.. heck that was true for all versions of Windows. Great hardware but poor driver support.. from my experience.

That was one of my biggest gripes with Creative. New drivers took forever to be released.

The worse driver problem I ever had was my old HP printer when I was testing Windows 8. I never got it working until after Windows 8 was released and HP updated the drivers.
