On a clean install that error didn't happen till after I installed one of these programs

Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Mozbackup or it could be a windows update.

    Ok, I give up!
If you have Firefox, for instance, what do you need with the others?

I always have used just Firefox, ever since the Beta Test days. I keep it up to date and run only a minimum of Add-Ons.
I've read many times that too many Add-Ons can slow down the Browser and even cause it to stumble and crash.

    Still puzzled........

I think TechnoMage was asking me. On my windows 7 partition, I have Firefox, I.E. 11, Opera, SeaMonkey, Google Chrome, and eventually Palemoon (I forgot I also have palemoon installed in windows 10). Palemoon may replace Firefox eventually or Firefox unbranded version when released.

I am going to do another clean install and see if it is the browsers or the drivers.

    On Windows 7
I use Firefox the most, another person here uses Seamonkey, I do use other browser occasionally. Google Chrome for Google sign-in. Internet Explorer for sites that won't work in other browsers. I have hunch that Project Spartan/Edge is conflicting with Chrome.
