Windows 10 locks up & network card crashes

    Hey everyone,

Been a while. Nursing school doesn't give you much free time to do anything... but I have an issue and need a saviour here.
Windows 10 on my dell Inspiron 15-3531 is constantly, and randomly becomes unresponsive. Along with being non responsive, the wireless network card also crashes. It happened a lot at the beginning of the semester so I did a fresh install and it happened again. From the fresh install, I installed the latest drivers then used the driver manager to be sure they were the latest. It started again last week, so I ran a startup scan to check all my hardware, and the thorough stress test said everything was fully functional. I have Mozilla Firefox, ccleaner, panda antivirus, and Microsoft office installed and that's it. I had previously upgraded my Ram to 8GB and a SSD by cosair which has 3/4 of the space free. I cannot figure out what is causing this. I'm trying to run sfc /scannow but it keeps locking up and I can't get into safe mode on this laptop. Does anyone have any recommendations for me to do here? I was able to back up my data yesterday, so that's safe but I really would love to avoid another fresh install. 15 page paper due Friday, so I need this laptop to get up and running!!

    Thanks everyone,
    Ben

So I finally was able to run the scannow and it found and fixed corrupt files. There weren't any errors in the log that I could find, but it's been a while since I've read a log like that, could've missed something. But, it is still freezing. Froze 2 'minutes after the scan finished. Had to hard restart and it froze 5 minutes after starting up. I reinstalled some drivers using my dell service tag, and found a few drivers in the device manager that also were updated... It hasnt froze on me yet (only running for 10 minutes) but i will update again if it is all set after an hour or so

So im assuming i solved my own question somewhere. I ran the sfc /scannow, and that did not fix the issue as the computer froze twice after doing that. From there, I hammered the drivers. I went back to dell and used my service code to download the driver software for my laptop. I installed the ones that were newer than the drivers i had installed already. From there, I went into device manager and did an update search on every device listed in the manager. There were 5 or so devices that had the drivers updated. But after 4 hours of typing my paper, doing online research, and listening to music, I have not experiences any lags, freezing, or non-responsive issues. I am not going to delete this thread, since last time i thought i "fixed it", it took a week to reappear. If this happens, I will again ask for the assistance of the tech guru's here. Hope i helped anyone who is also experiencing this issue..

    Thanks everyone,
    Ben
