    New build ?

    Hi all I whent from a i7 950 x58 build to a z170 i7 6700k
    and used my old ssd's
I put it all together went to the bios to boot to usb to install the os when it restarted it boot right into windows it shows the new cpu and ram and the z170 chipset

all my drives 4 of them are all there and working. I did not have to do anything to get the all working

The os did not reinstall. The computer is working great .but should I install the os or just use as it is?

You may be able to keep going BUT if you do, you'll want to work over your drivers closely and carefully to make sure everything is current and correct. I'm going to anticipate other inputs and recommend an upgrade install at a minimum, while observing that many forum members (including me) believe that a clean install is the safest and most stable install on new hardware (or a new OS).

Is Win 10 still activated? Seems like it shouldn't be, but I'd be interested to hear.
