    Strange desktop after power outage.

    Hi there!

We had a power outage here about an hour ago while I was just browsing the Internet. Subsequently, my computer shut down. However, when I rebooted the desktop seems to have changed. I really have no idea how to explain it, so I posted a link at the bottom of a screenshot I took with my phone.

I am on the latest update of Windows 10, of that helps

Any help that can be offered will be greatly appreciated. I need my computer for work.

Here is the screenshot I took with my phone.

That looks like a typical Win10 log-in/pre-log-in screen, I see in on a couple of my Notebooks. As for the icons, from left is the language in use [English], the Network/Internet connection not running yet [that's normal until the OS is running], can't tell about the third one and the last is the Power button.

The icon next to the power button is the ease of access button. The main problem is I can't get off of this screen. Ctrl-alt-del doesn't work alt- tab doesn't work alt-f4 doesn't work either

With mine I just click in it or hit Enter to get the log-in dialog to come up.

If only it were that easy! Haha! I'm not really good on the technical side of computers.

Ok. So umm, I fixed it!

All I did was unplug all of my USB devices at the front of my PC and it booted fine.

If you look carefully at the screen shot you will see the power button, network status, language etc. icons in the lower right. This is the normal login screen you see after clicking to clear the lock screen. What should also be there in the lower left is a list of user accounts to sign in to, with one selected and showing in the middle!

This has happened to others after waking from sleep....
No login prompt at login screen

I see you have now fixed yours. Perhaps @Shohambs and @ajboarder could learn from your experience and unplug all their USB devices too.
