A "Partner" should be someone you would trust with your life. But personally I don't trust Microsoft as far as I could throw Brother Bill, with one hand. It's not an omnipotent entity, it's a company made up of people....just people, with all sorts of beliefs, disbeliefs and hangups. Some might be very honest and others might be as crooked as a bottle of snakes.
Look at how many companies have been hacked from within..... like AOL for instance.
I refuse to have an MS Account and I will not share any of my personal info or contact list with them, of course they might have a back door programmed into Windows, so they can steal whatever they like. Eh?
Haters gonna hate - indeed, couldn't take more than 1 min. of the video.
Anyway, I was just taking a look at Cortana and 'she' works best if she has access to: your location, contacts, voice input, info from E-mails & texts, browser history, search, calendar and other (unspecified)
I can see how they can make the case for that but the average person using a PC, phone or tablet isn't going to be aware of how much privacy they're giving away because they won't delve into the info that's hidden away in settings.
Seems to me that MS gets more benefit from Cortana than the user does. Mind you, I think that about most of W10
I used to have huge privacy concerns but I simply don't care anymore.
I'm a 'nobody' from a 'nobody cares town' and I don't input sensitive data on devices.
If push came to shove, there's the cord in the wall, I can always yank it out.
