    Search Error 3036

Can soneone explain tome how I can get rid of this search warning: Crawl could not be completed on content source <iehistory://{S-1-5-21-785188419-774901353-3103086488-1001}/>. I know warnings are not important but I would like to get rid of it; I tried to delete it and re-indexing the search folder, but that di not work. Also did many bing searches but no help either. Thanks for any help.

    I'd guess it's a permissions problem.

You probably found this for error 3036
"I then drilled down into that folder and found 2 more folders that had no owners either so I took ownership of those two. Note that taking ownership was the only thing I did. I then when back into the indexing function in control panel, turned on indexing on the off line folders restarted my system and NO Warning. Seems that no ownership was the issue which I'm not not going to try and figure out because I won't find an answer to that anyway."

    You have two approaches:
    a. Identify the file or folder- noting it appears to be IE history and delete it- that may need to be done by booting your PC from a bootable medium to avoid permissions problems.
    b. Modify the search index parameters to avoid the area (IE history)
    (Control Panel, Indexing Options)

I did a combo of a and b and so far it has not come back. That folder was listed under the search index paramenters, so I deleted it, thanks.
