Guess not. Is it time to look for a third party solution?

Not sure why you thought that.

I'm trying Agent Ransack, don't know if that will work for you or not as I'm not sure what you mean by tabs in Windows Explorer.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Prof. Chaos, I read it on articles that were hinting about features of the latest release. Guess they were just rumors. Seems like something they should add. It would be helpful.

I have the donor version of Freecommander, but I keep going back to file explorer.

May try QTTaskbar as well, as it allows background coloring of the explorer windows (don't know if Clover does that.)

Clover hasn't been supported for several years. It still "works", kind of. But there are a number of situations where it causes problems or just works not how you'd expect. One of my biggest frustrations is the way the auto-capture of windows works, and the lack of any flexibility in determining which windows it should capture and which it shouldn't. It's been a while since I used it, so I don't remember all the details, but you can give it a try and if it works for you, great. If not, it won't embed itself too deeply to be removed.

    That helps, Mystere.

I read QTTaskbar was starting to get updated again, so it may be a safer bet. I usually make a full reflect image before putting stuff like this in anyway.
