Start menu full screen can't adjust

This is on a W10home32bit install, the start menu is stuck on full screen. Settings/personalization/start/ "use start full screen" is OFF. Can't mouse the edge/top and make it smaller. Also cannot change the view of all apps, they are all over the screen instead of a left column view. Did not do this on the RTM verson, just the anniversary edition that was updated today. Tx

Are you in tablet mode perhaps? MS seems to have tried to make an intelligent decision on this now. (See settings, search tablet).

Duh! on me. New install, MS thought it was a tablet and did it. It is a ASUS transformer, so technically a tablet with keyboard. Changed it back and we are back to normal now. Tx for that!!!
