Since the demise of flash player, at least on modern versions of windows, I suppose a lot of older software will not work. I have the National Geographic set of their magazines from 1888 on 6 DVD's that, as far as I remember required flash player to run. I haven't looked at them for years now, should I just bin them?
I suggest you try them first, as it depends on what format the files in question are on the DVD
If they will not play for instance using VLC
then you are looking at either one of the SWF - replacement apps
OR conversion after saving to a drive.
That said it is likely they may play without such measures, as presumably they can actually be viewed on a DVD player rather than on a computer and once accessed do not require a connection to play
Just bin them.I had some old DVD/CDs like that. Tried one out and it altered the HDD with a copywrite protection system.
That took a lot of research and time to remove the protection system from the HDD.
If you have an old PC to try it on fine, but not on a modern PC you use.
The expansion of internet info since 1988 has been phenomenal so I doubt if there is anything on those discs worth exploring.
