It's all pretty simple, I just send $1000 usd via paypay and pay for any charges, the recipient gets the full $1000 usd.

    It ain't rocket science

This money is coming from my own personal pocket as a little fun, so ffs stop bitching about it!!!

Keep in mind I do have a learning disability. I wasn't complaining.

Thing is though, Paypal take a cut and at $1000 it could be quite a lot.

Also I did a bit of conversion via xe.com and the difference between US and UK exchange is roughly £76 which is quite a lot.

PayPal's cut is around 3%. My grandpa told me never look a gift horse in the mouth.

I've just had a thought and that is in my case, both me and zero are British so there probably wont be any exchange rate conversation in this instance.

If you read the line from the post below the PayPal fees are accounted for. There's an online calculator for PayPal. You put how much net you want the recipient to get and it displays the total cost to achieve it.

I really don't understand this. Whatever you get is a gift. If I get $100, I will say thank you. Whatever I get would be more than I had before. It's a free gift. Besides, don't worry about it. There is only one of us here that needs to wonder how much they will get, and the odds are on John right now. There are more days with nobody's name on it than days someone has chosen.

The rules were posted at the beginning of this contest, but I propose a new rule:

Out of the goodness of his heart, z3r010 has contributed $1,000 for the one who guesses the Release Date.

So, I propose that anyone who complains about rules that were set up before the contest ever began should be dropped from the contest. It's as simple as that.

I appreciate that its a gift and I'm thankful for the generosity that zero has given us with this competition. I am just speaking my thoughts that is all.

And that sir is a rather harsh thing to say. Like I say I'm just airing my thoughts on this and grateful that its happening.

My last try to clarify this:

As John has already stated, the winner gets 1,000 US Dollars, John taking care of any PayPal costs and fees.

That is an odd and invalid statement. Here's the official exchange rate for One US Dollar a few minutes ago:

Windows 10 guess the RTM release date - 00 prize-2015-05-29_08h15_55.png

It means that with one dollar you get about two thirds of one UK Pound, to be exact £0.651966.

Further, this means that if we assume that the competition would finish now and John send the price money at this very moment, and again assuming that you would be the winner, you would get about 692 Pounds to your PayPal account. Please do understand you would not get 1,000 Pounds! The price is 1,000 US Dollars in the winner's currency.

Yes, there would be. It's much easier and effortless for John to send 1,000 US Dollars to you and let PayPal convert it to Pounds into your account, than to first manually check what's the exchange rate on that day and then send the equivalent amount in Pounds.

In any case, if you win, you will get something a bit less than £700 = $1,000.
